EDUCATIONAL IMPROVEMENT TAX CREDIT
Settlement Music School participates in Pennsylvania's Educational Improvement Tax Credit Program (EITC).
Your company may be able to contribute to Settlement through EITC in a fast & easy way and receive up to a 100% corporate tax credit. For example, you may contribute $10,000 to the Kaleidoscope Pre-K program and receive a complete $10,000 tax credit.
Settlement has two EITC-eligible programs:
- Kaleidoscope Pre-K, an EITC Pre-K Service Organization (PKSO), is a nationally renowned Head Start program serving two underserved Philadelphia communities. See Kaleidoscope in action.
- Music Education Pathways (MEP), an EITC Educational Improvement Organization (EIO), is a transformative after-school program for four Philadelphia schools in low-income communities. See Music Education Pathways in action.

EITC Business Application Timeline
May 15 – Businesses returning for a 2-year commitment
July 3 – Businesses applying for a one-year commitment or applying the first time for a 2-year commitment
For either date, please apply as close to the first day as possible because the tax credits are distributed through a competitive lottery process.
In addition, individual partners and corporate members (such as lawyers and accountants) may participate separately from their partnerships and corporations. Please consult with your accountant.
