kaleidoscope Plus
arts after school program

An extension of the award-winning Kaleidoscope program (KAL), Kaleidoscope Plus (K+) is offered Monday through Friday from after-school hours until 6 PM at the Mary Louise Curtis Branch.

K+ students receive homework support and snack, and are immersed in the world of music, theater, and visual arts.

Children are exposed to technology through short film making derived from their own ideas. Learning how to express themselves through voice and movement while at the same time learning how to be an audience and respecting others, students explore puppetry, storytelling, and creative acting .

The program is open to current KAL students, and KAL graduates and new students to Settlement who are in Kindergarten though 3rd grade. The program is offered five days a week, but there are four-, three- and two-day options available. An escort to Settlement is available from area schools including William M.
