Thursday was my first time stepping foot on the Wynnefield branch's grounds, despite speaking with its charismatic director, Karin Orenstein, several times throughout the summer.
I must say, the Wynnefield branch somehow feels in a world apart from everything else.
As soon as I stepped on its campus, this distinct sensation of calm washed over me. There's all this beautiful green foliage around the historic-esque building, as if it's a hidden gem. The structure itself appears similar to a wonderfully grandiose home, upheld with lovely white columns and surrounded by a black wrought iron gate. I felt as if I was in a storybook of some kind, and Settlement was nestled inside of it all.
