Electric Bass
The lowest sounding instrument in most pop and rock music.
Although it looks a lot like an electric guitar, the electric bass is actually more similar to its acoustic version, the upright or double bass. Electric basses send their sound to amps through pickups that are built into the body of the instrument, instead of needing a large hollow space for the sound to resonate in. It’s become the go-to bass instrument for popular and rock music.
