Settlement vocal student performs at an Annual Concert
Sometimes the best instrument is no instrument at all.

Singing is one of the most fundamental aspects of musical language. It’s the only “instrument” that can combine music and poetry simultaneously. Voices naturally fall into one of four main categories depending on their range (soprano, alto, tenor, and bass), but can change as a person ages. This often happens with boys who may be a soprano when they’re young, but turn into either a tenor or bass as they get older.
