New to Settlement Music School or music education in general?

You've come to the right place. Below are a few STEPS to help you get started!

Watch our video to get a sense of what we're all about!

  1. Explore our Programs for Children, Teens, and Adults.
Settlement offers classes for children as young as 6 months, with a wide variety of programs for students of all ages, interests, and skill levels. Individual Lessons are available in violin and piano starting at age 4. Students ages 8 through adults may study nearly any instrument, as well as composition, music theory, and even music technology. While classes and ensembles enroll at specific times throughout the year (fall, winter/spring, and summer sessions), students may start individual lessons at any time!
  2. Learn about Tuition and Fees and Financial Aid.
Financial support is available to students through completion of high school (through age 23 for voice students). To determine the amount of financial aid for which you may be eligible, you will meet with a Branch Coordinator. During that visit, you will be required to provide an income tax statement or other proof of income.
  3. Start the Registration Process
Find the branch that is nearest to you and complete our online PreRegistration Form to get started.

Not all programs are available at all branches, but our outstanding Branch Coordinators can walk you through what is available, how to sign up, and answer any other questions you may have. Contact information is available on each branch's webpage.  Do not hesitate to email or call. Our staff is here to help!
